It is with broken hearts that we share the sudden and tragic passing of our dear friend, beloved dentist, and cherished member of the foosball community, Dr. Steve Pfingsten, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Wednesday, September 3, 2025.
Steve was not only a skilled and caring dentist but also a devoted husband, father, friend, and competitor. He was deeply loved by his wife, Carri Pfingsten, his children, his employees, and his many friends and colleagues. His sudden loss leaves an immeasurable void for his family, his patients, and the foosball family who knew him as both a passionate player and a kindhearted friend.
Just this past weekend, Steve was competing at Worlds, where he experienced a brief health episode during a match. With the support of fellow foosers, he recovered, and afterward reassured everyone that he was doing fine, even sending messages of gratitude to those who cared for him. His spirit of warmth, gratitude, and resilience never wavered.
Steve’s unexpected passing is deeply felt across all the lives he touched. He will be remembered for his laughter, generosity, dedication to his profession, and love for the game that brought him so many friends around the world.
To Carri, his children, his colleagues, and his many friends in both dentistry and foosball, we extend our deepest love, prayers, and comfort during this devastating time.
Fly high, Steve—you will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
