MR. TIMOTHY FELTON “TIM” ALLEN, age 63, Eastman, GA, died on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.
The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:30PM Sunday, August 31. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, August 31, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Mr. Shelly Berryhill and Rev. Troy Davis officiating.
 Tim was born in Eastman, GA on September 11, 1961, to the late Shelby Jean Hickman Allen and Felton L. Allen. He was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a 1979 graduate of Dodge County High School, and of the Baptist Faith. He served in the National Guard and with Civil Defense for several years during the 1980s. He was a former owner and operator of Trek Enterprise, where he installed satellite dishes and T.V. services, and later worked for Easter Seals as a supervisor for several years, before working for the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department as a jailor. Tim believed in serving his community and dedicated many years of service as a volunteer fireman for Plainfield Volunteer Fire Station, Crossroads Volunteer Fire Station, and with the Eastman Fire Department. He later earned his EMT certification and worked as an EMT for Dodge County EMS, served as a Deputy Coroner for the Dodge County Coroner’s Office, and worked part time for M & M Pawn. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, HAM radios, and spending time with his family and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sonya Renfroe Allen, and brother, Brian Lee Allen.
 He is survived by his Children – Dakota Allen of Eastman, Benjamin Lee Grafton (Amber Linder) of Warner Robins, and Elizabeth Thompson of Dublin; 7 Grandchildren; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Katie Dopson (Justin) of Cochran and Del Renfroe (Ellen) of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews; Aunts and Uncles – Carl Hickman (Diane), Pat Hill, and David Hickman; Numerous coworkers and friends.
The Eastman community is mourning the loss of Mr. Timothy Felton “Tim” Allen, age 63, who passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA.

Born on September 11, 1961, in Eastman, Tim was the son of the late Shelby Jean Hickman Allen and Felton L. Allen. A lifelong resident of Dodge County, Tim graduated from Dodge County High School in 1979 and was a devoted member of the Baptist faith.

Throughout his life, Tim embodied a spirit of service and dedication to both his community and family. He served with the National Guard and Civil Defense in the 1980s, later becoming the owner and operator of Trek Enterprise, where he provided satellite and TV installation services. He also worked for Easter Seals as a supervisor, before serving as a jailor with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department.

Tim’s commitment to public service extended far beyond his professional work. He was a longtime volunteer fireman with the Plainfield and Crossroads Volunteer Fire Stations, as well as the Eastman Fire Department. He later earned his EMT certification and went on to serve with Dodge County EMS. Additionally, he contributed to the community as a Deputy Coroner for Dodge County and worked part-time with M & M Pawn.

Outside of his work, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, kayaking, HAM radios, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Sonya Renfroe Allen; and his brother, Brian Lee Allen.

Tim is survived by his children: Dakota Allen of Eastman; Benjamin Lee Grafton (Amber Linder) of Warner Robins; and Elizabeth Thompson of Dublin. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Katie Dopson (Justin) of Cochran and Del Renfroe (Ellen) of Eastman; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles—including Carl Hickman (Diane), Pat Hill, and David Hickman—numerous coworkers, and countless friends who were touched by his generosity and kindness.

Funeral Services:
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 31, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Southerland Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Mr. Shelly Berryhill and Rev. Troy Davis officiating.

Timothy Felton “Tim” Allen will be remembered as a man of faith, service, and love—whose life was defined by his devotion to family, his community, and his unwavering dedication to helping others.
